Whether you own or rent the buildings you need to consider insurance not just for the bricks and mortar of the property but also any external outbuilding, vehicle compounds etc. If you are leasing the premises you also need to consider any internal improvements that you have made such as vehicle repair booths, spray ovens, ramps etc. These need to be taken into consideration when insuring the premises for their full rebuilding costs (including professional fees and the cost of site clearance).

Business Interruption

Regardless of how efficient your business continuity plan (BCP) is, if you’re not able to use or access your garage premises your income will be negatively impacted. Whether the need is to replace equipment, or hire new premises, ensure these costs are covered to maintain minimal effects on the operation of the business. We can cover the additional working expenses and loss of profit from an insured event such as fire, flood or storm damage.

Contents & Business Equipment

It’s important to cover all of your contents including electronic equipment and computers in the office and garage workshops. You need to consider more than just your business property, remember to include portable equipment, dialogistic equipment, and tools used away from the premises.

Employers Liability

Coverage for all your non-manual and manual staff working on or away from your premises. Not only is this a legal requirement but you have the responsibility to ensure your staff are adequately covered for their daily roles. All our policies provide £10,000,000 worth of Employers Liability as standard.

Public Liability

Cover in respect of third party injury and property damage on or away from your premises, or the goods sold. This is included as standard (at variable limits from £2,000,000 to £10,000,000) within all our policies.

Engineering Insurance & Inspection

Coverage for lifts or vehicle lifting ramps on the property that need to be inspected annually to comply with Health & Safety obligations. Cover can also be extended to include machinery breakdown cover.

Road Risks / Trade Plates

If you are taking vehicles out on the roads you need to make sure you are insured to do so. By using trade plates this enables you to drive the vehicles whilst in your temporary possession.

Stock in Trade

Cover needs to take into account not just your general stock and spare vehicle parts, but also seasonal increases, stock and raw materials in-transit away from the premises.

Customer Vehicles

Coverage for taking receipt of customer vehicles that ensures these are adequately insured whilst under your custody, control & care.
