Islands Insurance is one of the leading Insurance Brokers in the Channel Islands serving a wide range of individual and corporate clients. There are exciting plans in place to grow and develop the business and we are looking for ambitious and driven individuals to join our growing team.
This is a junior level role based in the Guernsey office. Whilst office experience with the opportunity is preferred it is not essential.
Day to day duties include:
- Management of incoming post (paperless system using Outlook)
- Payment of claims including customer payments and supplier invoices (all with pre-authorisation from a Claim Handler Motor Engineer and/or Loss Adjuster)
- Answering the phone to support the team in the event of high call volumes
- Supporting the team with ad-hoc duties like management of Happy Fox
- Processing incoming claims recoveries
- Presenting claim recoveries for payments – this includes speaking with third party representatives to chase outstanding payments
Qualifications and attributes:
- Maths and English GCSE grades A to C (or equivalent)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High energy, self-motivated and proactive with a can-do attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Team player who embraces working in collaboration with others
- Keen to develop a career in a company who focus on excellence and high-quality service
- Willing to study towards the CII Certificate in Insurance with the support of the Company
